Text messages or SMS is still one of the fastest ways to reach out to people on their mobile devices. There are times when you have to send messages to a large number of people in groups or organizations, this is where bulk SMS comes in. You may argue, there is WhatsApp and other instant messaging platforms but not everyone can still be reached on WhatsApp.

No matter the type of phone used, be it a feature phone or smartphone; all phones can received SMS unlike WhatsApp which requires the internet to function. We realize some people do not know how bulk messages so we decided to write on how to send bulk SMS in Nigeria.

How to Send Bulk SMS in Nigeria

It should be noted there are many bulk SMS service providers in the country so the one we will use in this article may not be the best. The best provider(s) is determined based on pricing per network so you can make a research yourself online to get the best bulk SMS website with the right pricing.

For the example in this article we will be suing betasms, I’m actually using them because someone funded my account with them on the website and not because I was paid or I have any affiliation with them.

Go to betasms.com and signup for an account with a valid email, your email will be your username henceforth. After signing up, you will be sent a verification mail to complete the signing-up process.
You now go ahead and fund your SMS account by paying into the account which is stated on their website or by paying online directly.
Since you are sending your message to many numbers you need to type all the numbers vertically in a txt format as shown in the image below. To do this, search for Notepad on your computer. When entering the numbers, you also need to omit the first 0 figure.

After typing, save the notepad file in a place you can locate it on your computer.
Go to betasms and upload by clicking on the Choose File.

Now, enter the Sender name and type in or past your message as shown below.

Click on send when you are done.
To confirm if your message has been sent and delivered, it is advised you add your own number in the notepad file you upload so as to receive the message too.
