How to Undo Sent Messages in Gmail for Android

Gmail has finally introduced this live-saving feature which is available on the web version of its Android app. The Undo Sent emails feature has been available for some years now on Gmail web which allows people to make last minute changes on errors and mistakes when sending messages. First discovered by Android Police, the feature comes to Gmail version 8.7 and above. We also tested this feature and we can confirm it’s available with the latest Gmail update on Google Play.

How to Undo Sent Messages in Gmail for Android.

Make sure your Gmail app is up to date. If for any reason you can’t update from Google Play, you can get the version 8.7 from APK Mirror.
When you have composed and sent a message, the Undo feature appears immediately for some seconds as shown below.

Tap on UNDO.
You will now be returned to the drafting page for the initial mail you “sent” before.
Further findings by Android Police reveals if the mail is eventually sent, Google can still pull back for Gmail-to-Gmail messages as long you tap UNDO. For messages sent to other mail services, there will be a short delay before the email is eventually sent for last minute changes. All you need to tap is the “UNDO” button.

Google recently rolled out a Confidential Mode on Gmail which allows more security and protection of sensitive emails and attachments.
