If you are one of those that texts recklessly on WhatsApp there is good news now as the latest update on the popular messaging app makes it possible for users to delete messages not only on their devices, but as well as on the recipients smartphone permanently.
Even if you are not a reckless texter or drunken one, we have all made mistakes while chatting on WhatsApp with friends, family or contacts and we which we could delete them immediately which would save us some explanations. WhatsApp has been adding a lot of features recently and the Live Location feature was made possible some days back, the Live Location feature lets users share their current location in real time to friends and family.
How to Delete Sent Messages on WhatsApp in Individual and Group Chats
For the message(s) to be permanently deleted on your device as well as the recipient’s, the recipients must be using the latest version of WhatsApp for either Android, IOS or on Windows phone.
Open your WhatsApp and go to the chat message you want to delete.
Highlight the message by tapping and holding down on it, you can highlight multiple messages as well.
Tap on the delete icon from the top menu.
As shown in the image above, choose ‘delete for everyone’ to delete message(s) permanently from your recipient’s phone and yours as well.
Messages can only also be deleted for everyone up to sending minutes after sending. Deleting a messaging even before 7 minutes does not mean the recipient has not yet seen or read it, so if you plan to delete messages you better do it immediately after sending.
