2023: I Promise To Serve Nigeria With All My Strength – Tinubu
The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has promised to serve Nigeria with all his heart and strength if he is elected President.
Tinubu made the promise on Wednesday at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano State during the APC North West presidential campaign rally, Naija News reports.
The former Governor of Lagos urged the people of the state to vote for him in the forthcoming presidential election, pledging to maintain peace and harmony in the country.
According to Tinubu, he is in the state just to dance and thank the people of the North West region for their show of love towards him and the ruling party.
The APC flagbearer also appreciated the governors of the region, especially the host governor, Abdullahi Ganduje for his warm welcome.
He said: “I will serve you; I will serve Nigerians and protect all. I will keep my promise. I am overwhelmed; I am here just to dance. Nothing to add. Nagode (thank you), nagode, nagode. So sai.”
He promised to continue with the developmental strides started by President Muhammadu Buhari after the 16 inglorious years of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in power.
Tinubu further listed some of President Buhari’s achievements in his eight years including the Anchor Borrowers’ Programme, particularly in rice production, the Lagos-Ibadan highway, and the Second Niger Bridge among many other infrastructure projects.
Tinubu said if elected, he would rework the public finance system to unlock the avenues for more revenues for the country just like he did in Lagos as governor.
Speaking specifically about Kano, Tinubu promised to consolidate the gains recorded in the agriculture sector and revive the industrial estates.
He also promised to hasten the Kano–Lagos rail line for easy movement of goods and services, while the Kano-Maiduguri and Kano-Kaduna-Abuja roads will be improved.
On his part, Governor Ganduje described Ahmed Bola Tinubu as the next Nigerian President Allah’s willing.
He said Tinubu has the intellectual capacity to solve the myriad of socioeconomic problems facing the country if elected in the forthcoming poll.
Ganduje said they are voting for Tinubu after careful deliberations and resolve to consider three variables in planning to win the forthcoming election.
He said some of the variables include his credibility, and capacity to lead the nation, adding that the APC candidate has been tested and trusted when he served as the Lagos state governor.
Tinubu is a professional Accountant with all the know-how to turn around the nation’s ailing economy and reposition the educational sector, improving on health and agricultural development,” he noted.
Recall that Tinubu who arrived in Kano on Monday night had met with Muslim leaders from the North-West in a town hall meeting on Tuesday.
