Ever since Facebook acquired WhatsApp, it has been working on making it a cross-platform with its parent company and Instagram. It’s been said in the news that WhatsApp will soon be showing ads and its now possible to share WhatsApp status to Facebook stories.
Facebook began testing the feature in June and it has finally gone live on WhatsApp for Android and iPhone. Not only can you share WhatsApp status to Facebook Stories, you can also share to other apps on your device. Before we begin, make sure you have updated your WhatsApp to the latest version on Google Play for Android or on App Store for iOS.
How to Share WhatsApp Status to Facebook Stories
Thanks to the latest update, the feature has been rolled out and it’s very easy to locate.
Open your WhatsApp and go to Status.
Create a Status update like you normally do on your Android or iPhone.
Under the new Status you have created, you will see Share to Facebook Story. Tap on it.
You will be prompted to open the Facebook app, Allow or Open it.
In the Facebook app, select the audience you want to share the Status with then tap on Share Now.
WhatsApp will reopen itself automatically after you’ve shared on Facebook Story.
For Status Updates You’ve Already Posted on WhatsApp
Go to the Status menu, in front of your update you will see the three-dotted icon vertically (More). Tap on it.
You will see Share to Facebook Story. Tap on it.
You will be prompted to open the Facebook app, Allow or Open it.
In the Facebook app, select the audience you want to share the Status with then tap on Share Now.
WhatsApp will reopen itself automatically after you’ve shared on Facebook Story.
When you open another tab before the task is completed, the Share to Facebook Story option disappears. In case you have posted many status updates on your WhatsApp status you can select the exact one you want to share to your Facebook story. This is how to share WhatsApp Status to Facebook Stories.

The steps are pretty much the same as the ones above. Tap on the Share icon and from the apps shown, select the one you would like to share to.
