Maryam Isah Abubakar was born in Kano State on April 26, 1990. She grew up in the Hausa-dominated northern part of Nigeria in Kano State. She is the sister of Mansura Isah, who was once an actress. Maryam married in 2008 after graduating high school, but the marriage ended in divorce. She returned to Aminu Kano School to study Arabic and Legal Studies and later joined Kannywood. Maryam, who turns 31 in 2021, married a man identified simply as Alhaji in January 2017.
She is an actress/producer and runs a private business in addition to acting. She works in an import and construction company and is also the CEO of ISNMOM Nigeria Limited. Maryam ceeter is now an entrepreneur. She has about seven team members who work with the beautiful actress.

Maryam joined the Hausa film industry, Kannywood, in 2015 due to the influence of her sister. She was trained as an actress by Sani Danja, her sister’s husband. Today, Maryam is one of the most popular actresses in the Hausa film industry.
