With DND list, you can manage the kind of promotional messages you receive from MTN or totally opt out of all. In this article, I will show you how you can use the Do Not Disturb list to opt out of MTN promotional service.

Unsubscribe From MTN Promotional Messages Using Do Not Disturb List
To get started, send HELP to 2442: This will bring out all the categories of advert messages that you can unsubscribe from. Sending this message and the others related to MTN DND is free.
After that, send STOP to 2442: This unsubscribes you from all categories of advert messages.
In case you change your mind and want to re-subscribe to all the promotional messages, send ALLOW to 2442.
If you unsubscribed from all the categories but want to receive messages from some categories, send the SMS Codes in the table below to 2442.

From the table, you see that if you want to continue receiving promotional messages related to banking, insurance and finance, you will send SMS 1 to 2442. The same goes with the other categories, and with a properly managed DND list, MTN should stop disturbing you with irrelevant ads.
