Samsong Biography
Samson Uche Mogekwu was born on the 30th of November, 1974 in Delta State, Nigeria. He discovered his talent for singing while in high school. It was also in high school he was named Samsong. He attended college, and majored in Accounting and graduated from the great Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo state.
Samson Mogekwu Career
Samsong is one of the few very popular gospel musicians in Nigeria. In 1991, he formed a group of four, ‘Praise Creation’ which was signed under Ivory Music Label releasing their debut album “Best of Life” in 1996. Samsung launched his solo career in 2000 with the album “Count Your Blessings” after the group disbanded. The album enjoyed massive airplay and was described by some as the Best Gospel Music to ever come out of Nigeria.
In 2004, he released ‘Still Counting’ which might have well been in reference to his awards as this album pulled in a fair share and in 2007, released ‘The World of My Dreams’ with hit tracks like ‘One Love’ which was a remake of one of Onyeka Onwenu’s songs featuring her and ‘Live Right’ featuring Styl Plus. He released ‘Church Boy’ in 2010 and in 2015, he released ‘Introduction’
