Early Life & Education
Victor Osimhen was born on the 29th of December, 1998, in Lagos State. He hails from Edo State, a State in the Southern part of Nigeria. He grew up in Lagos, where he had his primary and secondary school education. During his early life, he started playing local area footballs after taking the Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba, as his mentor.

Osimhen started his career at the Ultimate Strikers Academy of Lagos where he played until 2017. He got his first start in the U-17 team in a 2014 friendly match. He scored two goals on this debut.
One of his best goals was his second goal against Zambia at the 2015 U-17 African Championship in Niger 2014.
This, he believed was very good because it was solid reflection of what he had learned in training under coach Amuneke which is “accuracy first, before power.”

He signed a three-and-a-half-year deal until June 2020 and made his debut in the German top-flight in May 2017 as a substitute against Borussia Monchengladbach.
