Saint Obi Early Life & Education
The only son in the family of 9 children, Obi grew up in Jos, Plateau State where he had his primary, secondary and tertiary education. He attended Zang Secondary Commercial School and in 1991, graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Jos. Inspired by foreign movies as a child, Obi always wanted to be an actor.
Saint Obi has acted in more than 250 Nollywood movies which include Candle Light, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Executive Crime, State of Emergency, War Front, The President Must Not Die, etc.
He acts mostly in an action movie and is always hailed by fans as a Nollywood living legend. In 2001, Saint Obi produced his first movie titled “Take Me to Mama” where he starred as Jerry, alongside Ebi Sam.
Saint Obi has won several movie awards which include Best Actor in Nigeria at the African Movie Academy Awards, Best Actor in Africa at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Most Prominent Actor in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards and Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Nollywood Movie Awards.
Saint Obi is currently married to Lydia Saint Nwafor and they are blessed with beautiful kids.
Career
Saint Obi joined the Nigeria movie industry in 1995 but rose to prominece in 1996 after doing a commercial for Peugeot on NTA.
So far so good, he has featured in more than 250 Nollywood movies with intriguing roles in the likes of Candle light, Goodbye Tomorrow, Festival of Fire, state of emergency, Last party and so on.
He produced his first movie “Take Me to Mama” which featured the likes of Jerry Ebi Sam, Nse Abel, Rachel Oniga, Enebeli Elebuwa.

Obi is married to Lydia Saint Nwafor and they are blessed with many beautiful kids. He is currently one of the richest and most influential actors in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $7 million. He speaks English, Igbo, Hausa and a little of the Yoruba Language.
