Starting/Closing Date For JAMB Part-Time/DL/Sandwich?

JAMB part-time registration is now a must for any prospective part-time admission seeker. Schools offering part-time programmes, distance learning, and sandwich courses are instructing their aspirants to obtain the forms to help them process their admission. However, students should want to know when the form will close.

Does JAMB part-time have a specific closing date? If so, when will that be?

In this post, I will be talking about the closing date for the JAMB part-time registration or if there is any specific time range to apply.

JAMB Part-Time Registration Can Be Done Before Filling the School’s Application Form

In case you’re wondering if you can apply for the JAMB part-time form before obtaining the application form for your proposed institution, yes you can.

In fact, it won’t matter if you visit the nearest JAMB office to buy the JAMB part-time application form before considering picking up the part-time, distance-learning, or sandwich form of the school you choose there.

I need to let you know this because what most people are used to is obtaining the school’s form before obtaining the JAMB part-time/distance learning/sandwich form. If you should do the latter first, it’s still fine.

You Can Also Register for JAMB Part-Time Form After Obtaining The School’s Form

This is the usual, as already mentioned. As soon as you complete your proposed institution’s daily/weekend part-time, distance-learning, or sandwich registration, on the school’s portal, you should work on registering the same with the JAMB.

JAMB offices are always available to register candidates seeking part-time admission. Visit anyone closer to you register and submit the slips to be given to the school as it might have already been stated on the school portal.

Any Specific Closing Date For the JAMB Part-Time, Distance-Learning, and Sandwich Application?

As a matter of fact, the JAMB part-time/distance learning/sandwich registration, just like any other JAMB regularizing activity, doesn’t have a particular closing date. This registration is around the year!

Let me break that down.

The daily part-time forms of different schools, just like the distance learning forms, sandwich forms, etc., with all requiring registering with JAMB, may be sold at any time of the year, just as the school management deems rightly.

As a result, the window of registration for the JAMB part-time forms (like other non-UTME registrations) remains open around the year.

A school may instruct its prospective applicants, old and existing ones to go to the JAMB office at any time to register. They will be attended to without any hindrance.

For example, the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre recently instructed about three sets of their students to apply with the update below.

However, if you’re an applicant who is yet to be offered part-time admission (maybe you’re about to apply or you’ve applied but not yet been offered admission), kindly check your school portal or advert for the form to see if there is any instruction stating a specific time range to fill the JAMB part-time, distance-learning or sandwich form too.

For example, if check the update by the University of Ibadan Distance Learning center, the management stated a particular date, “Monday, 23 January 2023”, for its candidates to fill out the JAMB distance learning form.

Osun State Polytechnic Iree states as follows.

The implication of this is that, if you must be admitted, you should do the JAMB part-time registration before the management will be sorting names to be released for admission.

It’s safe to say that it makes sense and hastens your admission process if you can register with JAMB before obtaining the admission form for your proposed institution’s part-time, distance-learning, sandwich, or similar programme forms. You can as well do that immediately after obtaining the latter.

If however, you’re already admitted, even though you didn’t register for the JAMB part-time form, distance learning, or sandwich, you can still do it now or as soon as your school instructs you to do so.

It’s equally very important to note that some schools won’t even ask you to register with JAMB if such a programme is not required or not preparing you for NYSC registration or mobilization in the future.

In all, no specific closing date for the JAMB part-time and similar registrations. Following your institution-specific instruction (deadline given) supersedes in this case.
