Biography Of Chika Ike
Chika Ike, who goes by the full name of Chika Nancy Ike, is a Nigerian actress born on the 8th of November, 1985, in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria. Her parents are Mr and Mrs Ike and not much is known about her immediate family and siblings.
Chika studied at the University of Lagos, where she first obtained a Diploma in Human Kinetics and later a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field.
After joining the entertainment industry in Nigeria, Chika enrolled in a Film School to further her studies. She graduated from the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, California, in 2014, where she majored in Film Making.
Educational background
Chika, despite growing up under a father who preferred she was born a boy, still got sound and quality education. Her primary, secondary and tertiary education, she all got from Lagos State, Nigeria.
The then aspiring Actress, was admitted into the University of Lagos, to study human kinetics and health education, upon her first application, in 2004.
Chike Ike, who was going to furnish his inbuilt acting skills, pushed her coast outside the shores of Nigeria. She attended the New York Film Academy, where she graduated in 2014. The Anambra-born actress also got admitted into the world’s most prestigious business school, Harvard Business School, which earned her a business certification, after she was done with the studies.
Career
Unofficially, Chika Ike started from a younger age. She was just six years old when she started featuring in church drama and plays.
At 16, Chika completed her secondary education and ventured into modeling.
Officially, her career started in 2005 when she joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood). “Bless the Child, and Chikere’s Sweet Love” were her first movie roles.
Shortly after joining the movie industry, Chika rose to prominence. This, of course, is linked to her style of acting – how she explained movie roles.
Notably, Chika established Chika Ike Production – a production company established and maintained by her. “Miss Teacher” was the first movie to be produced under this production company.
Again, Chika founded the African Diba Reality TV Show – a reality show established and managed by her as well.
In 2011, Chika established Help a Child Foundation – a Non-governmental Organization aimed at helping the poor and deprived; thus giving them hope and giving back to society.
That same year, she launched “Nancy Fancy” – a fashion line she established in Abuja, Nigeria.
