Education
For her education, Guchi had her elementary and secondary school education in Abuja and Lagos, in no particular order. At the prestigious Edo State University, Ekpoma, Ugochi Onuoha didn’t finish her four-year degree program there. However, she proceeded to the University of Lagos, where she studied and bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Media Arts.

Ugochi Lydia Onuoha, popularly known as Guchi, is a fast-rising Nigerian musician, singer, and songwriter, who was born on November 5th, 1997 in Kaduna State.
Although she was born in Kaduna State, a state in the northern part of Nigeria, Ugochi was raised partly in Abuja and Lagos.
What else about Guchi? She is originally from Imo State, a state in the south-eastern part of Nigeria. An Igbo by tribe, a Southerner by region, a Christian, and a Nigerian by religion and nationality, respectively.
Career
She sings Afropop, also dance hall and high-life, and started her professional career in 2012.
Her debut single, “No Be Jazzy”, was released in April 2019. After signing with PG Records Entertainment, she released “Addicted” later that year, followed by “Closer” and in October 2020, a 5-track EP including that song, I Am Guchi. In February 2021, she released “Jennifer”, which inspired a viral challenge on TikTok and was re-released in June 2021 in a re-mixed version featuring the Tanzanian singer Rayvanny. In October 2021, “Benzema”, titled for French footballer Karim Benzema, debuted at Number 3 on the Billboard Top Triller Global Chart.[5] In 2022, she was featured on Rayvanny’s “Sweet” and in March released “Shattered”.
