Tope Alabi was born on 27 October 1970 in Lagos State to Pa Joseph Akinyele Obayomi and Madam Agnes Kehinde Obayomi.
Tope is a music producer and gospel singer. She is one of the most sought-after soundtrack producers in Yoruba movies.
She is also famous for her Yoruba Christian songs, which are unarguably the anthem among Yoruba Christian music lovers.
Tope Alabi and her husband Soji run a music label, TOPE ALABI GOSPEL VIBES, and a foundation Mardebra Comforter Foundation.

Tope Alabi Early Life
The only daughter among three children, Tope grew up in Lagos and Ibadan, Oyo state. She attended Oba Akinyele Memorial High School, Bashorun Anlugbua, Ibadan and obtained her West Africa School Certificate (WAEC) in the year 1986. She had her tertiary education at The Polytechnic, Ibadan where she graduated in 1990 with a diploma in Mass Communication.
Also known as Ore ti o common, she joined the then “Jesters International” (Jacob, Papilolo & Aderupoko) group at Ibadan, starring with the group from 1982 to 1984. This was during her secondary school days which afforded her training, exposure and experience in drama. After completing her diploma, she worked briefly with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Ibadan as a correspondent under the supervision of Mr. Yanju Adegbite. She also worked at NTA Channel 7 Tejuosho (Now NTA Channel 10, Lagos) between 1990 & 1991. Tope also worked with Centerspread Advertising Limited, at Ilupeju area of Lagos and worked with this Company within the year 1991 – 1992 and Re-Union Nigeria Limited, Gbagada, Lagos.

She obtain her WASSCE certificate in the year 1986 at Oba Akinyele Memorial High School Then her HND in Mass Communication at The Polytechnic Ibadan in 1990.
Career
Tope started music at the tender age of seven when she joined the choir in her local Catholic church.
Later she drifted into cinema when she joined a drama group, “Jesters International” where she had the opportunity to perform some stage plays.
After her tertiary education, she worked briefly as a correspondent with the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA. After she left NTA, she worked with Centerspread Advertising Limited, an advertising agency at Ilupeju.
After a while, Tope joined the “Alade Aromire Theatre Group” in 1994, where she got the opportunity to show her singing talent. She was featured in several movies as a soundtrack producer.
Her time with the group ushered her to prominence as she became a favourite of many movie producers who wanted her to voice as a soundtrack in their project.
Tope also grew in the gospel industry by dropping several hits tracks that have become anthems among Christian song lovers.
She announced herself in the gospel song arena with her debut album, “Ooreti O Common” in 2000. SDhe has then released several other hit albums and singles afterwards.
