Tawa Ajisefini, born March 7, also known as Monkele, is a fast-emerging Nigerian actress and movie producer. She was born and raised in Osun State, where she comes from, and was the last child in a family of four. Tawa Ajisefini rose to prominence after making her acting debut in Nollywood.
Early Life & Education
Tawa Ajisefini was born on the 7th of March, in Ibadan, Nigeria. She is the youngest of four children born into a family of four in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. She hails from southwest Nigeria, Osun to be precise. She had her primary schooling at Eleyele Police Children School. She later moved to Our Lady of Apostle Secondary School in Ibadan. She is also a Theatre Arts graduate, which she said she chose since she has previously mastered the practical side.
Career
Because of her passion for acting, Tawa joined Ojopagogo film school, where she graduated in 2006.
She played major roles in movies like “Opin Ireti” and “Okun Ife Yi”, as well as other interesting movies.
Before she became known in the industry, she worked as a personal assistant to fellow Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele.
