Early Life and Education
Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko was born into the Kosoko royal family of Lagos State, he was born and raised in Ifako-Agege and Ikotun, Lagos State, Nigeria on the 28th of January, 1987 as the first and only son of the family, He attended public schools for his primary and secondary education, thereafter, he attended Lagos State Polytechnic where he holds a Higher National Diploma in Arts and Design. He is related to the veteran actor, Prince Jide Kosoko, also from the Royal kosoko family.

Before his entry into the mainstream music industry, Adekunle Gold went viral after photo-shopping himself into photos of popular celebs, like Tiwa Savage which earned him the title, ‘King of Photoshop’. That year, 2015 he was number 3 on the list of the most searched persons on Google in Nigeria.
Prior to signing for YBNL, he had a working relationship with the label as he designed their logo and the artworks of some of the label’s signed artiste.
Adekunle Gold is a singer, songwriter, sculptor and a graphic designer. In the early days of his career, Adekunle formed a band ‘The Bridge’ with his best friend, Seyikeyz in 2010 and they released four songs ‘No sleeping on a bicycle’, ‘Norm Breaker’ and ‘All of me’ (John legend cover).The group featured acts like Skales and GT the guitarman before it was disbanded in 2013 with Adekunle Gold working on establishing his act as a solo artist and his friend, Seyi producing for him.
