Anjorin was born in Badagry, Lagos State, Nigeria. Her father was a devout Christian, whereas her mother was a devout Muslim. She came from a poor family. Her mother was once a street food seller, and the dread of becoming impoverished again drove her to achieve. She enrolled at Olabisi Onabanjo University in 2003 as a student activist and graduated with a BSc in Transport Planning and Management in 2017. She then left to pursue acting as a career. After then, she enrolled in acting school, where she met Idowu Ogungbe and Ahmed Alasari, both of whom aided her career.
Career
Although Lizzy Anjorin had been in the movie business since 2003, she didn’t make headlines until around 2009/2010 when she acted in movies like Ise Onise, Arewa Ejo (2009) and Owowunmi (2010). Not just limiting herself to acting, Anjorin combines it with movie production and has produced movies like Gold, Iyawo Abuke, Kofo Tinubu, Kofo The First Lady, and Owo Naira Bet. However, her first production movie was Tolani Gbarada. She’s a Yoruba-predominant movie artist.
Marriage
Anjorin in a private wedding ceremony wedded Lateef Adegboyega Lawal on 16th July 2020. The actress claimed she has known Lateef for over 14 years as a friend before she finally agreed to marry him. On 1st May 2021, the couple welcomed a baby.
The actress and her marriage have been trailed by controversies. In recent times, Lizzy came out and vouched that her husband has not slept with any other woman since they got married in 2020. A vouch that attracted many reactions from people.
