Early Life and Education
Ireti Doyle was born on May 3, 1967, in Ondo State, but she spent her early years in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States of America with her family. She attended Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti, after moving back to Nigeria. She earned a diploma in mass communication and later earned a theatre arts degree from the University of Jos.
Iretiola Doyle Career
In a career that has spanned two decades in the Nigerian entertainment industry, Doyle’s credits cut across stage, television and film and print. For the first ten years, she produced and presented her own show called, Oge with Iretiola. She also anchored other several television shows in Nigeria such as Morning Ride on Silverbird Television and Nimasa This Week on Channels Television.
In 1995, Doyle moved into acting beginning with the television series, Riddles and Hopes. Since then she has featured in several Nollywood movies and television series some of which include Across the Niger, Sitanda, Torn, The Therapist, Fifty, The Arbitration, The Wedding Party (1 and 2), Dinner, Tinsel, For Coloured Girls, and Gidi Up. She always plays the role of a house wife, mother in-law and discipline mother in movies.
Personal Life
She is married to renowned broadcaster Patrick Doyle, and together they have a happy family filled with six children and grandchildren. She is the famous actor’s second wife; he lost his first spouse to sickle cell anaemia.
