Peter Onwuzurike Onyehidelam (popularly known as Dede One Day) was a famous Nollywood comic actor, master of ceremony, television personality, comedian, entrepreneur and philanthropist.
Early Life & Education
Peter Onwuzuruike Onyehidelam was born Peter Onwuzuruike Onyehidelam. Obviously, his popular name is just a stage name.
He was born and raised in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. This is evident enough because Dede One Day had completed both his primary and secondary education in Aba. Too, he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate in Aba.
Dede One Day Career
Dede One Day started his career as a stand-up comedian and master of ceremony (MC). He rose to fame after releasing his comedy audio series “Laugh With Me” a comedy talk show which is very hilarious and causes comic relief. After the success of his comedy audio series, he joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and took part in his first comedy movie “Joseph the Dreamer” alongside with Odera Nwobu. The success of the movie welcomed him to Nollywood with open arms and earned him a nomination for Best Comic Act to Watch at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
Dede One Day featured in several Nigerian movies, some of which include Keke Soldiers, Iron Pant, Mortuary Attendant, Corporate Beggars, My Classmate, Professional Beggars, Village Musicians, Senior Officer, Joseph Oro Nro, Village Lawyer, Shoe Shiner, Our August Meeting, and Ebola Doctor. He reguarly starred in comedy movies alongside with Odera Nwobu, late Sam Loco Efe, John Okafor, Charles Inojie, Charles Awurum, Victor Ozuagwu, Nkem Owoh and Chiwe Ntaluagu.
