Huawei’s HarmonyOS Reaches 70 million Users, Now in Almost 100 Devices
Huawei began rolling out its HarmonyOS update to its smartphones in June, the company also announced the OS will be coming to nearly 100 of its devices soon via a forthcoming coming. On Monday, the company celebrated a milestone of 70 million devices running its operating system. The company also said nearly 100 models are eligible for a stable update.
Huawei reached the 70 million mark in three months, considering the first major set of updates was rolled out in April. The growth is phenomenal because it is majorly available in China to the Honor and Huawei devices. Huawei’s HarmonyOS has been launched globally but only a few devices have adopted it outside of China.
The OS is expected to reach more devices soon. Older devices such as the Mate 9, Mate 10, P10 and the P20 are expected to receive the update in Q1 2022.
