Understanding Sensitive Contents on Twitter
Sensitive content in Twitter’s term refers to violence and nudity. If you are new to Twitter, depending on the people you are following, you may think the platform is a porn website. By default, on Twitter, this feature is turned on. To control or unblock this tweet may include sensitive content, you have to login to Twitter web or use the Android app. The feature can’t be turned off on the iPhone or iPad app.
How to Unblock Sensitive Content on Twitter
Login to Twitter on the web.
Under the menu, click on “More” as shown below.
Under this tab, you will see many options. Tick on the one that says “Display media that may contain sensitive content”.
You’ve successfully unblocked sensitive content on Twitter and you can see any media provided the users has not locked the account.
How to Removed Sensitive Content Warning from Your Own Tweets
If you tweet media containing violence or nudity, Twitter may be preventing your tweet from appearing on people’s timeline. When people see your tweet, it will be shown as the same sensitive content we’ve discussed above.
Just like the unblocking, remove the warning for your tweets can only also be done in the web and Android app. This option is not available on Twitter for iOS.

Under the menu, click on “More” as shown below.
Click on “Settings and privacy”, then “Privacy and safety”.
Under this tab, you will see many options. Untick the one that says “mark media you tweet as containing material that may be sensitive”.
How to Show Sensitive Content in Twitter Search
Twitter also controls what comes up when you search, it does not want you to see nudity on violent content. If you want to see everything in search, this can be done as well.
Login to Twitter on the web.
Under the menu, click on “More” as shown below.
Click on “Settings and privacy”, then “Privacy and safety”.
Scroll down and go to “Search filters”.
Make sure the “hide sensitive content” box is unchecked.
