The NCDC is investing resources in boosting sub-national health security, significantly boosting its capacity to detect, stop, and deal with infectious disease epidemics.
The responsibilities of the NCDC surveillance support officer include the following:
• Advising the state to use FORMAS
• Work with the state epidemiologist to develop and implement outbreak preparedness and response plans.
• Assist the state epidemiologist in enhancing communication between the surveillance and lab teams.
• Serve as the technical leader for the State surveillance team using surveillance data for data-driven decision-making.
• Use the FORMAS tool to help LGA DSNOs and assistant DSNOs with data gathering and input.
• Analyze the surveillance data that has been collected, with the help of the state epidemiologist, the state DSNO, and others as necessary, and provide comments.
• Coordinate evaluation efforts for state-wide disease surveillance projects.
• Support the activities of the state’s EOC for public health
· Regularly communicate and provide input to the NCDC Surveillance Department.
• Fulfill any additional obligations the NCDC Director of Surveillance placed on you.
NCDC Requirements for Recruitment 2022
To be eligible for the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control in 2022, you must have the following qualities.
Age All interested candidates must be between the ages of 18 to 35.
Citizenship Applicants must be from the listed states in Nigeria.
Qualifications BSC or it HND equivalent from an accredited tertiary institution in Nigeria.
Certification Birth certificate and state of origin certificate will be required.
O’level Basic 5 credit passess in either WASSCE, GCE or NECO, including English.
Skill Basic communication and computer skills will be advantageous to such Applicants.
