Top gospel singer, Ada Ehi fondly called Ada Dasings by closer friends is a top Nigerian gospel singer. Having started her music career at the age of 10, Ada Ogochukwu Ehi (née Ndukauba), she professionally joined the music industry, 2009 after joining the LoveWorld records. She is from the Christ Embassy church, home to other top gospel singers such as Frank Edwards.
Born into the family of Victor and Mabel Ndukauba, September 18, 1987, she grew up together with her three brothers listening to gospel records. At the age of 10, she was selected to become a member of the girls band of Nigerian star, Tosin Jegede. She graduated from the Lagos State University with a degree in Polymer Engineering and then joined the Christ Embassy Church. She became a member of the Christ Embassy Presidential Choir and that gave her a platform to spring into her gospel music career.
Career
Ada came into limelight after her viral song, ‘Only You’. She has since then released a good number of songs as well as recordings. She was the first artist to be signed under the record label – FreeNation Inc. Ada is also a member of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s music team and one of the few singers who follow him on his trips to preach the gospel around the world. Together with her family, Ada Ehi is a Christ Embassy and in a recent interview, disclosed that she has no plans to get into secular music anytime soon.
She was formerly signed under the record label, Loveworld Records, owned by the Christ Embassy and released her debut album, ‘Undenied’, November 2009 under the label. She is actively involved in the Christ Embassy music ministry and performs in their events worldwide. Her sophomore album ‘
Lifted & So Fly’ was released November 2013 and her third studio album, ‘Future Now’ was released October 2017. Some reports said it topped the iTunes Nigeria the day it was released.
